Jane Doe Lawsuit Settled Attorney Moynahan represented 3 Jane Does in a sexual assault suit against a church organist and Derby, CT church. Attorney Moynahan and Attorney Robert Keepnews sued the church alleging negligent hiring and supervision. The defense claimed that the organist was not an employee but an independent contractor and that because the acts were not committed at the church, the church should not be held liable. After lengthy negotiations and legal wrangling, a final settlement was reached to the satisfaction of the Plaintiffs.
