  • Obtained 80% of a $425,000 settlement in an action arising out of a commercial tenant's default on a lease after domesticating a foreign judgment for the purpose of collecting on the judgment. The defendant was the guarantor on the lease, was incorporated in Ireland and its only asset was a residential property in Darien.
  • After lengthy discovery and a hearing before a judicial officer at the DEP, obtained full reimbursement of attorneys' fees that a client incurred in litigation against an owner of a gas station for damage a gasoline leak from the station's underground storage tanks caused to underground cables.
  • Negotiated a settlement for 10% of a default judgment entered against the defendant client because her attorney in the underlying action had failed to respond to discovery. Unknown to her, a PJR attachment had been placed on her home because her signature had been forged as a guarantor on a payment and performance bond.
  • Settled a civil rights case alleging race discrimination on behalf of an employee of a multinational corporation.
